Ok folks I thought it was way past time to tickle the brains. I'll tell you the year you have to name the group and the song.
:comp26: :sotr_great.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='great' />: :sotr_great.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='great' />: The attachment feature is not working so i'll have to submit a support ticket tomorrow before others will be able to start topics and upload mp3's. Mean while I have another way.

2 from 1978
Tune 1 1978

Tune 2 1978

1 from 1976
Tune 3 1976

Here's 2 from 1975 boy was I shocked I had never listened to this album before recordings are older than the year the album was released.
Tune 4 1975

Tune 5 1975

Good luck and enjoy

Hmm.thats a hard one,i noticed that on the second track, they are using a voicebox,
just like Peter frampton did 2 years earlier"with great.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='great' /> succes"and the starting riffs
on both the first tracks, sounds very familiar, but i just cant tell who the female singer
or the band are.

track #3 Could be a group called the Plimsouls?-Hypnotized?,but im not sure cool
track though.

well track #4.Santana tune,But i Really like this version, more blues less bongodrums. :sotr_great.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='great' />: But i still cant tell the artist, maybe if i knew how a really young
Gary Moore sounded like. But it's not him is it??
and track #5 same artist i guess,a very mellow tune, that im gonna hear alot from now.

Cant wait to get the answers.got to get those albums.greate taste there Oldfart.

Nice try but Gary Moore is not correct. I heard the same things you heard gosh it sounds like I've heard these groups but just can't put a finger on it.

Good luck guys and keep the guesses coming. :smiley-faces18:

Hint

1st two remind me of Heart but it's not ( not really a hint and didn't expect anyone to get it)

3rd song is from an album that is country rock except the song I posted. (again don't expect anyone to get it)

the 4th and 5th will amaze you when you find out who it is. It's a double album all songs on it recorded in 1968 except one in 67 and one in 69.

Well done but no prize. :sotr_great.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='great' />: I didn't know until I made the post that Peter Green wrote Black Magic Woman. I've owned the album for 30 years and never listened to it. Fleetwood Mac has an amazing history.

The album name is Fleetwood Mac the Vintage Years and to my surprise is not listed on their official website. Most of the songs on the album are blues.

Yes it does look like a good album.
It was the guitar playing that led me to Mick Fleetwood but am a bigger Santana fan.
Love the instrumental Europa.
But I could listen to Albatros all day to.
Might have to invest in some early Fleetwood Mac thanks to you OF.

Here's a little info about songs 1 and 2 Group name 1994 from their first album.

Pop Artist
Directory > People > Pop Artists Formed:
in California
1994
Genre: Rock
Active: '70s
Biography
1994 was a group formed by throaty singer Karen Lawrence in 1978, after she left the L.A. Jets. The same year, Lawrence composed "Prisoner (Love Theme From the 'Eyes of Laura Mars')," immortalized by Barbra Streisand. Lawrence also backed Aerosmith on Draw the Line. Guitarist Brad Whitford tagged along for 1994's self-titled inaugural, helping out on one track, "Heleana." Acclaimed Aerosmith producer Jack Douglas was also in tow. He helmed the entire debut, as well as the 1979 follow-up, Please Stand By. Lawrence went on to dabble in new wave as Karen Lawrence and the Pinz, and then backed Graham Parker. Douglas also produced Lawrence's '90s band, Blue By Nature, which included Rick DuFray, another (albeit momentarily) Aerosmith axeman. At the turn of the century, Lawrence lent her powerful pipes to Slash's Snakepit on Ain't Life Grand, yet another Douglas production. ~ Doug Stone, All Music Guide
