Purchase went through without a hitch, runs like a dream on my new computer I just finished building, average 60 -70 frames with everything on full.
Might try swapping the motherboard bios to the full OC 1 and see what the i7 2600k at 4.8GHz does.

Hopefully we can get some racing done together soon.

New system is an Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z motherboard dual bios 3 way sli (only have 1 GTX 580 so far) I7 2600K 3.8GHz.

Also have an 850 watt PSU.

Yea I bet they cost a bit in your neck of the woods m8. The Beta is not optimized for sure yet. I was getting over 100fps on most parts of the track with my settings. I tried a race at Mills without qualifying so I started like 25th and was getting 58 sitting on the grid, obviously this dropped a bit during the 1st corner mayhem Oh that did bring back memories of Noob Megane servers!! :post-60-1132743319:

The problem at the moment is that because its Beta sometimes the frames (and I am talking rarely here) drop through the floor from the high 80s and this gives you a stutter only to catapult you forward again half a second later. there are alot of guys on the forums some running dual 580s who are complaining of very low frames for their high end systems, but it is a beta so there will be alot of fixes to go in.

These are the settings I am using with my Phenom II Quad @ 3.6Ghz and an ATI 5850. My full specs are on the 2nd screenshot. I have room to increase the details which I will do.

Very flash RT, i had an i5 2500k clocked at 4.6GHZ with an Asus Z68v board (poor mans compared to yours).

I had real problems getting it to let me put purchase / enter my activation code. Just kept coming up with a white page and heres why. For some odd reason rFactor 2 needs to see a LAN connection activate. So i had to install my Ethernet drivers from motherboard CD and then enable LAN connection even though i will never use it.

To enable LAN go to Control Panel, then Network and Sharing Center. On the left hand side select Change adapter settings then right click Local Area Connection and click Enable.

Hey RT,

Did you purchase rF2 via R2P or ISI mate - never had a PayPal account and yet I've been spammed by dodgey PayPal emails in the past and had to report em back to PP so I'm very wary of even setting up the account with them?

Love the specs on your PC - looking to do some upgrades in the very near future as my vid card only just makes the spec.

Back to work next Monday so only have a coupla days left to get the game and get online with you guys...typical...had the last 3 weeks off and now they release it :newYM3:

Used PayPal, have had a PP account for 6 years, they never send emails that will ask you to log in and they will use your name from your credit card when they do correspond, mine is usually Hi D as my CC only has initials and last name. I also get those dodgy emails but they have attachments and usually are to the wrong email addy. Once you set up with a CC you can also set up to use your savings account also if your happy going through all the verification stuff with bank transfer to make sure your account exists and they usually use your mobile as the means to verify that at the same time.

Its like any thing when online, if you get an email from them go to the website using your own link not any in the email.

All went through smooth for me.

A little peeved that it was a buy before you try.

Dunno yet, only a little impressed, not as much as I hoped.

TT look at the post and issues I had. Mine brought up that screen till I enabled LAN adapter on networking.

It's definatly a step forward but more like rF 1.5 than version 2. There's loads more detail in everything but image quality on the aTi cards are bit poor :(

Another tip is default camber is way too high, set the car up like I racing with 2 degree camber max in the Meganes and also tyre pressures are too low by default and simply don't get hot.

Yep that's it Mossy  - I just didn't associate "Just kept coming up with a white page and here's why" with the same problem  - but now we know the answer :Handshake: mate.

This should be made a "sticky" in our new rFactor 2 home on the forums hey admins?

Hope to see you guys on the track soon :wave2:
