Picked this up in Steam Sale. I'm pretty happy with it although I've only driven 60's cars on a few stages and the Bmw E30 on Finland daily challenge.

Menus are bit of a pain being G25 button numbers to select stuff like friends leaderboard, car skins etc.

Steering rotation seemed very slow but put saturation down to 75% to make it 650 degrees and seems much better. Can't believe game is default for wheels being 360 degrees of rotation. 90% of wheels now are 900 degrees. Other than that it's been plug and play.

Not quite as sim as RBR but good step towards the old Colin McRae games. Hope they keep brining new countries and stages out. In old games you got 6 to 8 different stages, in this it seems to be 2 or 3 stages then in reverse to make up extra ones..

Yep I set the wheel to 360deg in windows and there is some setting in the ffb section you must adjust to quicken up the steering and remove some of its weight I think its the 2nd setting down or maybe the 1st doh! can't remember how's worded ingame i'l have a look tonight.

My wheel is 380 now I think.  I'll have a look at the other setting.

I guess we'll see the Sweden update in the next week or so.

Steam Early Access of DiRT Rally is coming to an end next week, but unlike other endings, this is a happy one.  Next week – and by next week we mean most likely Monday – Codemasters will release the Winter Wonderland update, the final update for the Steam Early Access version and – most likely – the beginning of the official retail version of DiRT Rally.

Yep, downloading and still an hour to go.  Let's hope that with the PS4 and XBox versions, we get more DLC on the PC version.

Mossy, what do you think?

Didn't manage to download it before I left for work. Might get chance to try it tomorrow if it downloads in time..

Worked out with wheel it's easiest to leave it at 900 in windows and alter the saturation in game to alter steering lock ratio.

If you run 100% saturation and 100% soft lock steering rotation matches real cars so most realistic. WRC cars are 540 degrees, most others are 900 degrees.

Problem is people can short calibrate them to 270 degrees and get super quick steering which is why some people manage to be a lot quicker it seems reading the forum. Managed to get into the top split a few times on the daily rallies, especially on 60's cars which I enjoy.

Managed to download the update this afternoon. Latest WRC cars have so much grip! And the suspension doesn't act like a pogo stick on big jumps in Finland unlike the other cars.

Finished 10 seconds slower than fastest time in Daily Event with the Hyundia so using lower steering in cars is definitely much faster, doing the 60's at Greece I lost over a minute to the top time on the long stage 3 with loads of hairpins because I have to turn so much.

Shame cause the older cars are so much fun using 900 degrees but to be quick you have to run low steering.

I'm on 360 degrees in Windows setup for my wheel. Sam.  Like you, I started at 900.

When I tried via game it sent me to steam overlay and Dirt Rally website.

https://www.dirtgame...e/24148/teamfog

Had to sign in using Steam account then just clicked Join League. You should have a join request now I think Rooster?
